Federalist Charter:

The Federalist Society for Law and Public Studies is a non-profit membership organization dedicated to bringing conservative and libertarian ideas into law schools and the organized bar. Our student and lawyers chapters across the country sponsor debates, speeches and symposia to advance our principles that the state exists to preserve freedom, that the separation of governmental powers is central to our Constitution and that it is emphatically the province and duty of the judiciary to say what the law is, not what it should be.
